On Sunday July 25, he had gone on a pleasure trip to Bovine, Texas and on starting back home in the evening in his attempt to board a moving train he fell from it and came to his untimely death. Deceased's age was 19 years, 1 month 18 days. He leaves to mourn his loss, father, mother, two sisters, Grace and Ethel at home, grandparents and a host of relatives and friends.
I cannot say and I will not say
That he is dead - he is just away
With a cheery smile and a wave of the hand
He has wandered into an unknown land
And left us dreaming how very fair
It needs must be, since he lingers there
And you - O you, who the wildest yearn
For the old time step and the glad return
Think of him faring on as dear
In the love of There as the love of Here.
Funeral services were in charge of Rev. Tremaine of Waynetown at the home Friday afternoon and interment was made in the Waynetown cemetery. - kbz
