WAYNETOWN — Last rites for A. Earl Bell were conducted Wednesday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown in charge of Rev. Hugh Dooley, pastor of the Alamo Christian Church. Larry Melvin played organ selections including "In the Garden" and "God Will Take Care of You" and accompanied John Thomas who sang "Beyond the Sunset." Pallbearers who also assisted with the flowers were grandsons, Gregory, Billy Joe, Larry and David Bell, Robert and Mike Boots and David Wilson. Burial was at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery, where graveside rites were given by the Ladoga World War I Barracks. The flag was folded by Edwin Barnard and Daniel Lucas and Barnard presented it to the widow. Others representing the barracks were George F. Frantz and James Rankin. The Alamo Masonic Lodge 144 gave the last rites at the funeral home. The acting worshipful master was Robert A. Songer; chaplain, Leslie Weir; senior warden, Donald Max Nichols. The three great lights were carried by Ralph F. Moore.--waw
