Mrs. Ethel Beebe, 94, of 217 E. Wabash Ave., died Thursday morning at Culver Hospital where she was a patient. Mrs. Beebe was born Aug. 7, 1874, in Montgomery County, the daughter of William M. and Mary Elizabeth Allen Layne. She attended elementary schools in Montgomery County and high school in Edgar County in Illinois. She married William W. Boaz in 1891 in Edgar County. He died in 1897. In 1907, she married Fred Beebe in Crawfordsville. He preceded her in death in 1939. Mrs. Beebe lived in the Whitesville community for 45 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church and Circle III and a charter member of the Farm Bureau. She is survived by a daughter, Estella Boaz of Crawfordsville; a step-son, Ernest Beebe of Sun City, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Blanche Bowerman of Indianapolis; a niece, Mrs. Lawrence Himes of Ladoga; five grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a step-son, Chester Beebe, and two sisters, Maggie Hawkins and Anna Smith. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bright Funeral Home with Rev. Howard F. Miller and Rev. Paul E. Million officiating. Burial will be in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday.--waw
