Mrs. Rachel E. Beckley was born Feb. 19, 18B5, at New Richmond, Indiana, and lived there with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Washburn, until married at an early age to H. M. Beckley. To this union were born eight children, five boys and three girls. Three boys and one girl preceded her to the grave. Of the remaining four, H. W. Beckley, of New Richmond, Ind„ Mrs. Mary Burr, of Diamond, Mo.; Mrs. Nona Hamlin, of Kansas City, and J.N. Beckley, of New Richmond, Indiana, the latter two being present through her illness and death. Also two sisters and one brother survive her, namely, Also two sisters and one brother survive her namely Dr. D. M. Washburn, of New Richmond, Ind., Mrs. M. A. McComas, Topeka, Kas., and Mrs. Mary Gr. McClure, of Pryor Creek, Okla. The deceased has been a member of the Christian Church since the age of 15 years. The last three years of her long life was spent in Rich Hill, Mo., to be buried by her husband who was buried here 26 years ago. —Rich Hill (Mo.) Review
