Waynetown Nov 15 - Shortly after he had been talking to his wife at their home in Waynetown, apparently in his usual good health, Daniel Beck, 70 years old, was found in a shed in the rear of the residence, dead, at 5 Saturday afternoon. Heart trouble had caused the sudden demise of the well known man. Mr. Beck was a native of Montgomery County and had spent all of his life in the county. He had been a resident of Waynetown for the past 20 years. At the time of the Civil War he enlisted in the Union Army and fought for his flag. On Saturday he had been at work all day and had not complained of feeling badly. His death came as a severe shock to his many friends. Mr. Beck is survived by his widow and six children, Charles and John Beck; Mrs. Virgil (Nina Viola) Wilkinson; Dora Ingersoll and Mrs. Emma Layman of Waynetown and Susan K. Beck of Crawfordsville, Librarian of the Carnegie Library. One sister, Mrs. Angeline Crane of Bradshaw .... she survives. Funeral services will be held in the late home at 1:30 Monday afternoon in charge of Rev. JP Lough. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
