Christopher Columbus BECK was born in Libery, Union County, Indiana on March 11, 1844 and departed this life Jan 18, 1910. He was the son of William and Effie Beck who departed this life many years ago. He was one of a large family 4 brothers and one sister going on before him and one sister, Mrs. Angeline Crain of York NB and one brother, Daniel Beck of Waynetown are left to mourn his loss. He was a sufferer for many months having been stricken with paralysis several years ago of which he never fully recovered. He was never married. He was a soldier in the civil war serving in the 19th regiment in 1862-63. The funeral occurred at the home of his nephew, Calvin Beck Wed afternoon and interment at Mace Knights of Pythias.- kbz
