Waynetown, Ind.(CNS) — Charles Beck, 93, of Waynetown, died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 19, 1968) at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville. He had been burned in a trash fire and a patient there since Dec. 9. Born May 16, 1875 in Montgomery County near Mace, he was the son of David and Jennie Haffner Beck. He had been a farmer and resided near Waynetown since 1895. He was educated in Montgomery County schools. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Dora Ingersoll of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Nina Wilkinson of Waynetown; two nephews and three nieces. He was preceded in death by a brother, John in 1965, and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Layman and Mrs. Ida McClure. The body is at the Servies Funeral Home and friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday. Services will be there at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. G. E. Tremaine officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.

Waynetown - Services for Charles Beck were held at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home. Rev. GE Tremaine officiated and Mrs. Nellie Snyder, organist, played favorite hymns and a specially requested selection, How Great Thou Art.  Pallbearers were Max Stockdale; Harold McDonald Jr; Marion R. Cooper; Vernie Harland; Harry Harlan; Bill Mitton and Dale Martin.  They also assisted with flora tributes. Burial was in Waynetown Msonic Cemetery. - kbz
