Bean - Mary Lou - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Mrs. Mary Lou Bean, 84 years old, widow of George Bean, died Wednesday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Laura Douglas, near tis city. She had been ill four months with the infirmities of age.  Born Oct 8, 1860 in Boone County, KY the daughter of Oliver and Frances Waldon McClaine, she was married Oct 27, 1880 to George Bean who died in 1909.  Mrs. Bean was a member of the First Baptist Church.  Surviving besides the daughter at whose home she passed away are one daughter, Mrs. Eva Gee of Dundee, Mich; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Edward Bean of Crawfordsville and Claude Bean of Indianapolis. The remains were taken to the Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon with the Rev. Ralph E. Gronseth of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Masonic cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home as the body will be kept there preceding the rites.
