Wilson O. Bennett, 78, formerly of Crawfordsville, died Tuesday morning in Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Ill., after an extended illness. He was a resident of Crystal Lake, Ill., and was a retired farmer and Monon Railroad employe. Born Oct. 19, 1894 at LaGrange, Ky., he was a son of Walter and Josie Bennett. He was married to Bertha Jansen Siggins at Chicago. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Kesteleyn of Woodstock, Ill.; a son, Gerald Bennett of Cyrstal Lake; a stepson, Joseph Siggins of Crawfordsville; a brother, William of Arizona; three sisters, Elizabeth, Catherine and Rachel Bennett, all of St. Mathews, Ky., and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Wilson Edward Bennett. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Atkins-Ratcliff Funeral Home at LaGrange, Ky. Burial will be in LaGrange Cemetery.
