Antonio BAZZANI, 78, of Clinton, died at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Vermillion County Hospital, following an extended illness. Born July 10, 1883, in Italy, he had lived in the Clinton community for the past 52 years. hew as a member of the Sacred Heart Church of Clinton, Knights of Pythias Victor No. 553 of Clinton and Odd Fellows Unity No. 872. He was a retired coal miner. Surviving are the wife, Carolina; a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Alice Certain of West Terre Haute RR 2, a son Fred Bazzani of Waveland; five grandchildren and two sisters, Miss Marie Bazzani and Mrs. Rosa Tagiliana, both of Italy. Services were conducted Monday at Frist Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park. - kbz
My grandfather - it was interesting to have a grandfather who spoke little English and me, his granddaughter, who spoke little Italian so we had quite the relationship but there was the universal language called "Love" that kept us close !
