Funeral services for Claude Bayless, 57, who died Tuesday at Yuma, Ariz., will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Powers Funeral Home at Crawfordsville, with Rev. Carlyle Scott officiating. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday. The family has requested that memorials be in the form of donations to the fund for a science building at Cedarville College at Cedarville, Ohio. Mr. Bayless owned and operated a grocery business in Crawfordsville before moving to Arizona. He was a graduate of New Market High School. He was born Nov. 2, 1914, at New Market, a son of Elmer and Pearl Demoret Bayless. He was married April 21, 1935, to Geneva Smith at Waveland. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lois McCloud of Gilla Bend, Ariz.; three brothers, Lester and Glenn of Crawfordsville and Irvin of New Market, and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by a sister.--waw
