William S. (Bill) BARTON, a former Waveland resident died Sunday Aug 19, 1956 at 12:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Hospital in Logansport, shortly after he was admitted. He was 70. He was born in Waveland on Feb 11, 1886, the son of William R. and Catherine Barton. He married Lena Snyder. He worked for the Pennsylvania RR out of Logansport most of his life, until he retired last Dec. Survivors include the wife and 3 sisters, Mrs. Sadie Murphy of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Irene McGaughey of Russellville and Mrs. Guy Durham of Waveland. Funeral services were held Wed at 10:30 a.m. at McCloskey Funeral Home in Logansport with burial in Union Cem. at Waveland. - kbz
