Jesse BARTON, 62, former resident of Waveland, died at City Hospital, Indianapolis at 10:45 a.m. today of injuries received May 11 when he was struck by an automobile as he walked across the street at an Indianapolis intersection. Mr. Barton, a retired railroader, had lived in Indianapolis for nearly 13 years with a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth BUGG. He formerly was employed by the Santa Fe RR in Colorado. He was the son of William and Catherine TRUMP Barton. Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Rose RYAN, Brownsfield, TX and Mrs. Beulah NELSON, Fountain County; a son, Elmer Barton, Grand Canyon, CO; two brothers, William of Logansport and James of Helena, Ark and three sisters, Mrs. Irene M. McGAUGHEY, Russellville; Mrs. Ina DURHAM, Waveland and Mrs. Sadie MURPHY, Crawfordsville. Funeral services were held at 2 this afternoon at the Methodist Church. - kbz
