Waynetown - Mrs. Minnie Barnett, 69, died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville after a year's illness. She had been seriously ill 3 months and hospitalized 5 weeks. Born June 22, 1890, near here she was the daughter of W. Scott and Ellen Moore Switzer. She married Thomas A. Barnett July 30, 1913 in Crawfordsville. He died July 29, 1958. Mrs. Barnett was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church. She attended Sand Bank and Waynetown schools and lived all of her life in the Waynetown vicinity. Surviving are a daughter, and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Chester Poynter of Bloomingdale and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Servies Funeral Home here with Rev. John Cassidy of Westport officiating, assisted by Rev. Homer M. Cole, pastor of the Waynetown Christian Church. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.

Services Held for Mrs. Minnie Barnett- WAYNETOWN- Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Barnett were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Servies Funeral Home here. Rev. John Cassidy of Westport, a former pastor of Waynetown Baptist Church, officiated and was assisted by Rev. Home M. Cole, pastor of Waynetown Christian Church. Mrs. M. B. Snyder was organist and played sleected hymns, "Beyond the Sunset," "Going Home" and "In the Garden." Pall bearers were Milton Venis of Brownsburg; James Lee Venis and Robert Thompson of Crawfordsville; Donald Byers of Indianapolis Robert Barnett from Illinois; Merle Venis and Russell Venis. Flowerbearers were Mesdames Joyce Davis Jones, Daisy Davis, Alethia Murdock, Betty Venis, Carolyn Thompson, Barbara Byers and Zelma Dunnell of Danville, Ill. Burial was in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
