Waynetown - Mrs. Lela E. Barnett, 83, of Williamsburg Health Care Center at Crawfordsville and formerly of Rt 1, Waynetown died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday at the center. She was a homemaker who had lived her entire life in the Christian Union Church area east of Waynetown. She was a graduate of Waynetown HS and a life member of the Christian Union Church. Mrs. Barnett was born Dec 6 1908 east of Waynetown to James and Hannah Ball Switzer. She married D. Carroll Barnett Aug 25, 1928 at Crawfordsville. He died in September 1989. Surviving are two sons, Lowell G of Plainfield and Lee D. of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Ethel Schenck of Spencer, Ind, and Pauline Quillin of Crawfordsville; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A sister, seven brothers, a grandson and a granddaughter are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 Tuesday in Christian Union Church east of Waynetown with Rev. John Foxworthy officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Calling will be 4-8 p.m. today in Cramer-Shoemaker Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Christian Union Church. - kbz
