Thomas A. Ball Jr, 90, of 3430 Summer Valley Road, New Ringgold, died Oct 18 in his home. He was the husband of the late Doris L (Wesner) Ball. He was a supervisor for the analytical department of Atlas Powder Co, Tamaqua for 40 years before retiring in 1976. He received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Wabash College in 1935 and his master’s degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University in 1937. Born in Waveland, Ind, he was a son of the late Thomas Z Sr and Myrtle (Fordyce) Ball. He was a member of Zion Stone Church, Ringgold and served on its cemetery board. He served on the Tamaqua Area School Board, the Tamaqua Building Authority and was a board member of the Schuylkill County AAA for 20 years where he was director emeritus. He founded and served as cub master for Clamtown Cub Pack 154. Survivors: Sons Thomas R of Cherryville, Kenneth D of Buena Vista Pa; five grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. today Robert S.
