Ball - Floyd

New Market - Floyd W. Ball, 71, years old, died Saturday night at 10:45 o'clock in Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. He had been ill a week after suffering a heart attack. A native of Montgomery County, Mr. Ball was born near Waynetown Jan 9, 1880, the son of Benjamin and Sarah Schenck Ball. On March 3, 1901, he was married to Edna Belle Wilson, who survives. He was a member of the Christian Union Church near Waynetown. Mr. Ball connected with the Montgomery County Farm Bureau for many years. At the time of his death he was employed in the office in Crawfordsville. Previously he had operated the New Market Lumber Company when that concern was owned by the Farm Bureau. Survivors in addition to the widow include a son, Ernest Ball, Ladoga; three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Mastin, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Mabel Simms and Mrs. Eula Sonricker, both of Crawfordsville; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Christian Union Church by Rev. John Servies. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before the services. Friends may pay their respects at the Noble Reeves Funeral Home in New Market. - kbz
