Baker - Olla

Waynetown - Mrs. Olla Baker, 88, died at 12:45 p.m. Sunday in New Hope Nursing Home at Indianapolis. She had been in failing health since breaking a hip six weeks ago. She was a patient in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville before entering the nursing home. Born May 1, 18872 in Waynetown she was a daughter of William and Mary Warfield Faunce. She married Robert H. Baker in 1892. They were married here. Mrs. Baker was a 70-year member of the Waynetown Baptist Church and 40-year member of Waynetown OES in which she served as Worthy Matron in 1924. She lived in Covington and Indianapolis but spent most of her life here. She was educated in Waynetown schools. Surviving are a son, Charles Cedric Baker of Indianapolis; two grandchildren Mrs. Mary Blue and Miss Martha Baker, both of Indianapolis and a great grandson, David Blue of Indianapolius. Funeral rites are announced for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Servies Funeral Home here with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating, assisted by Rev. Lewis Poore. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
