New Ross, April 21 – Mrs. Lucinda Baker, 90 years of age, died at her home here at 10:30 o’clock this morning. The aged resident whose death was caused by senility had been blind for seven years. She was born March 15, 1834, in Kentucky, the daughter of Willis and Hannah Clark. She came to this community at an early age. On June 12, 1851 she was married to John P. Baker and to this union 8 children were born, sox preceded her in death. The only survivors are two children, Mrs. Hattie Davis of New Ross and Mrs. Atha Canine of Ladoga. Mrs. Baker was a charter member of the Christian Church of this place. She was the last of a family of 17. Funeral services will be held at the Christian Church at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon with interment at the IOOF Cemetery. - kbz
