Bailey - Lockey - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Mrs. Lockey Bailey, age 89, the widow of the late Thomas Bailey, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alma Ellis, 312 W Pike St, Thursday afternoon following an illness of four months. Mrs. Bailey was born near Paoli, Ind May 14, 1844 a daughter of Johnothan and Sarah Brown and was the last of a family of 12 children. She was first married to William Henry Wright in 1875 and to this union were born two daughters, Effie, who passed away at the age of 15 years and Mrs. Alma Wright Ellis at whose home she died. In 1897 she was again married to Thomas Bailey, of Hillsboro and since his death many years ago, has made her home with her daughter. She became a member of the Christian Church at Rockville, Ind, when young, later moving her membership to the Hillsboro Christian Church. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Carrie Beaver at the Prairie Chapel Christian Church at two p.m. Saturday afternoon. - kbz
