Wayne R. Barker, 73, of Rt. 2, Veedersburg, a life resident of Fountain County and a retired farmer, died at 10:14 p.m. Sunday in St. Eliz. Hospital at Danville, Ill, where he had been a patient 10 days. he was educated in the Yeddo and Kingman schools. he was born July 26, 1905, a son of Austin P and Dora Ann Allen barker. He was married to Sylvia Duncan on June 8, 1929, aat Cayuga. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Allen of Rt. 1, Covington, Dale of Rt. 2, Veedersburg and George of Rt. 1, Kingman, and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wed. in Bodine & Shelby Funl. Home at Covington with Pastor Max Paddock officiate. Burial in Cooper's Chapel Cem. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. - kbz
