Mrs. Ruth Miller has received word of the death of her brother-in-law, Lewis Barker, age 82 years who died at Gardner, ND on July 4 at a hospital there. Mr. Barker, who resided in the Grange Corner community north of here recently went to Gardner to make his home with his son, Omra Barker. His wife died last Sept 5. She was formerly Emma Carter. Surviving besides the son at Gardner are three other sons, Herbert of Kirksville; Russell of Crown Point and Mac of Lowell and one daughter, Mrs. Eva Myers of Crown Point Burial was made at Gardner. - transcribed by kbz
