George Arvel Barker, bro. of Mrs. Flossie (Barker) Morgan, was taken ill in Danville on Sept 17 at the Danville shops where he had been employed for the last 10 years. He was removed to the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville where he made a gallant fight to get well for the loved ones he would have to leave. His last thoughts before his death on Sept 28 at 8:00 pm. were for his wife and mother who were so bereaved by his illness. He was a man without an enemy. For all who knew him liked him as a brother and a pal and especially, Glen Morgan, husband of his only sister. He was well prepared for God's call of his name as he had already purchased his lot t Sunset Memorial Park, north of Danville for his last resting place. It is sad to think that one so young should have to go, but God's ways are best and we who are human know them not. But rest assured that He has gone to prepare a place for us and will come again to receive us, that we may meet those who have gone before. - kbz
