Glenn C. Barcus, 32, a farmer in Montgomery County since 1954, died Tuesday morning in Culver Hospital where he had been a patient 4 ½ weeks. He had been in failing health since April. Born Jan. 9, 1930, at St. Joseph, Ill., Mr. Barcus was the son of Charles and Margaret Noe Barcus. He married Shirley Rudisill at St. Joseph, Ill. Sept. 21, 1952. They began housekeeping in Newport, R. I. Mr. Barcus was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He enlisted in 1951 and served until the fall of 1954. He was a member of the Church of Christ at St. Joseph, Ill., and the Wingate Archery Club. His hobbies were hunting and fishing. The family home is seven miles northwest of Crawfordsville. Survivors include the widow; the parents; two sons, Robert, eight years old, and Michael, seven years old, both at home; a brother, Lawrence Barcus of near Crawfordsville, a sister, Mrs. Dale Rewerts, also of near Crawfordsville, and another sister, Mrs. Russell Morgan of Woodland Hills, Calif. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Bright Funeral Home here. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at noon Thursday.
