Neva J. Bappert, 87, 508 W. Market died in her home today. Born Oct 4, 1894, near Lizton, she was a daughter of Rev. George and Rachel Mason Joseph. She was first married to W. Earl Smith in 1913. He preceded her in death in 1955. Her second marriage was in 1959 to William "Gus" Bappert, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Ralph L. Smith of Middletown; two daughters, Dorothy Lee of Tipton and LaVerne Meek of South Bend; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. James Reid officiating. Burial in Masonic Cemetery North. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday. - transcribed by kbz
