Waynetown, Ind. (CNS) - Robert W. Banta, 25, New Richmond, died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 22, 1968) of a brain tumor at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He had been seriously ill for two weeks. Born June 21, 1943, he was the son of C.W. and Thelma Parish Banta. He was married Dec. 29, 1963, to Mary Jane Jewell, Wingate. Surviving are his widow, his parents and a daughter, Melissa Renee; a sister, Mrs. Wilma Lambuth, Lafayette; Mrs. Pearl Banta, Crawfordsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Terrence Parish, Wingate, his grandparents; five aunts, and two nieces. He was a member of the Center Christian Church, near Elmdale; the Adult Future Farmers of America, from which he received the degree of American Farmer, and Coal Creek Twp. Farm Bureau. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the New Richmond Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Saturday. The family suggests that memorials be donations to the cancer fund.
