Death came to Robert Banta, 25 at 2:15 a.m. Saturday, at the home of a cousin, Mrs. Thelma Smith of near Wallace. He had been ill since October with Tuberculosis. He was born near Grange Corner Feb 25, 1918. Surviving are his father, Bruce Banta; a brother, Thomas of Hammond; a half brother, Howard Rice; two sisters, Mrs Paul Myers of Marshall and Mrs. Melvin Resler of Waveland. The mother preceded him in death 24 years ago. The McMullen Funeral home at Rockville had charge of the funeral arrangements. The body was taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. Paul Myers of Marshall. Funeral services were held in the Wolf Creek Church near Wallace at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. C Airhart in charge.
