Charles Wiley Ball, 78 of Kettering, Ohio died Monday afternoon at Veterans Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. He was born in Montogmery County, Jan 10, 1888, a son of Benjamin and Mary Bell Ball. He was married to Grace Faust Sept 12, 1917 in Crawfordsville. Educated in the county schools, Mr. Ball worked for Crabbs-Reynolds-Taylor feed suppliers for 21 years and Farm Bureau for eight. He retired in 1953. He was a member of Christian Union Church and Byron Cox Post 72 of American Legion. Mr. Ball was an army veteran of WWI. Surviving besides the widow are a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Gegner, a son, Benjamin R. Ball of Kettering, Ohio and 3 grandchildren. Mr. Ball was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bright Funeral Home with Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 pm.
