Harold J. (Poss) Baldwin, 44, a baker for the Cleveland Bakery 20 years who during the past year was associated with the Walter Consoer Service Station, 201 W. Market Street died at 5:30 o'clock Thursday morning at Culver Hospital. He had been ill with a kidney ailment. Born August 4, 1907 at Waynetown, Mr. Baldwin was the son of Mahlon and Mary Titus Baldwin. He married Gladys Everson of Crawfordsville Sept 15, 1928. Mr. Baldwin was an ardent sportsman. He was in service with the Navy from 1922 to 1927. A part of his service was during the Nicaraguan campaign. Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Eleanor, at home; the mother, Mrs. Guy Hammitt, of Indianapolis and a sister, Mrs. Herschel Roberts also of Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Rev. Paul Million will be the officiating minister. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home. - kbz
