Dr. L. Dale Arthur, 67 a retired Charlotte dentist died yesterday. The funeral is to be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Dilworth Methodist Church with Dr. Russell Montford, minister and the Rev. Bill Ellison, associate minister officiating. Burial is to be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Dr. Arthur had practiced dentistry here for 35 years, retiring in 1962. He lived at 1501 Clayton Dr. He was born in Lebanon, Tenn son of EA and Eva Ford Arthur. He was a member of Dilworth Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Loughery Arthur; three sons, Dale of Charlotte; Thomas F of New Orleans; and John S. of Indianapolis; a sister, Miss Maude Arthur of Crawfordsville, Ind and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. tomorrow at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Home - kbz
