Crawfordsville – Robert L. Arndt, 40, an employee of the Aluminum Company of America in its Lafayette plant died of a heart attack in his sleep in his home here early Sunday.  He worked Saturday night.  Born at Oxford, he was graduated from Crawfordsville HS in 1942 and was an Army veteran of WWII.  He was married to Betty Knox in Crawfordsville in 1945 and was a member of the Christian Church Montgomery Lodge 50, F&AM Scottish Rite of Indianapolis and Byron Cox Post, American Legion.  Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Mary Lynn at home and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Arndt of Rb 6, Crawfordsville.   ~~~Transcribed and Typed by kbz
