Frederick William Arndt for many years a respected citizen of Stockwell, died at his home there at 2 o’clock Wednesday morning. He had been in poor health for two years and death was due to heart trouble. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Arndt, he was born May 27, 188 in LaPorte County. On Nov 18, 1883 he was united in marriage to Miss Mollie Cain who with the following children survive: Henry, Lafayette Route G; Mrs. Mary Dieterle, Lafayette Route M; August, Oakwood, Ill; Mrs. Goldie Barnaby, Linden and Noah of Stockwell. He is also survived by five brothers, Rev Jacob Arndt of Berne, Ind; Louis and William of Stockwell; Charles of Chicago; Henry of Colfax and a sister, Mrs. Hulda Dietter of North Judson. He was a member of the Stockwell ME. The body was taken to the Baker Funeral Home at Dayton and will be returned to the late home Thursday morning. Funeral services will be conducted from the Stockwell ME Church at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon. Rev.
