Armstrong - Clifford

Clifford Armstrong, infant child of Albert and Emma Armstrong, was born in May, 1898, departed this life for the spirit world March 22, 1900, and was buried Friday at the Indian Creek Cemetery. This is a very sad reminder for us that life is uncertain and death is for sure. A little flower born to blossom and fade by the wayside; for a short time the joy of the home, but now resting in the bosom of Him who his being gave. But we know God’s ways are best, although they often leave our homes desolate and our hearts crushed beneath a load almost too heavy for us to bear. But such is life, “and let us so live that when the summons comes for us to join that innumerable caravan that leads to that mysterious realm where each shall take up his chamber in the silent halls of death, that we go not like the quarry slave at night scourged to his dungeon, but sustained and soothed by an unfaltering trust, let us approach our graves like one who wraps the drapery of his couch about him and lies down to pleasant dreams.” - thanks so very much to S and all her great obit work for this site
