Charley E. Applegate died after a lingering illness of consumption on Friday, the 19th inst., aged 34 years, 8 months and 25 days. He had been sick for about two years but confined to his room only about six weeks. He had been married twice and leaves a widow and five children. The funeral was conducted by Elder Powell assisted by Elder Worrall, at the Christian Church Saturday afternoon. Interment was at the Pleasant Hill Christian Cemetery adjacent. - thanks so much to S for this one
