Word has just been received of the death of William Allen, of San Fernando, Cal. Mr. Allen was the last member of the well-known family of James Allen, Sr., of Sugar Creek Township. He leaves a wife, and two children and a number of nephews and nieces, both here and in California. Mr. Allen was a member of Co. H 11th Ind. Cav. He was a good soldier and citizen, a kind husband and father, an honest and upright man, respected by all who knew him. – thanks to Lena !
