Darlington - Ray Anderson, 74 of Darlington died Thursday in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsille. He had been in failing health several years and a patient in the hospital five days. Born at Bowers he was graduated from the high school there in 1906.  He was married in 1908 to Bessie VanHook who died in 1958. In 1959 he married Leta Hudson. Mr. Anderson formerly farmed in the Darlington area. He was engaged in the hardware and implement business for a number of years and at one time was a representative of the Greencastle Production Credit Association. He also was a past director of Citizens Bank, Crawfordsville. A member of the Darlington methodist Church, he taught a Sunday School class the greater part of his life. He was a member of the Darlington masonic Lodge. Surviving with the widow are two sons, Raymond and Robert R. Anderson, both of Darlington; a brother, Willard Anderson of Darlington and two sisters, Donald Peebles of Darlington and Mrs. Grace Wallace of Lake Worth, Fla.  - kbz
