Hillsboro, June 3 -- Oscar Gephart of this place received a message Thursday night informing him of the death of George Anderson, age 85, a former resident of Hillsboro and Waynetown which occurred Wednesday night at the home of his son, SC Anderson in Pekin, Ill. Mr. Anderson was well known in this community where he resided for many years. Several years ago he moved to Pekin where he made his home with his son. The cause of his death was not given in the message but it was thought infirmities of old age caused his death. In addition to his son at whose home he died, Mr. Anderson is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Flora DeKuster, also of Pekin; one brother, Charles Anderson of Danville, Ill; one sister, Mrs. Blanch Murray also of Danville, Ill; three grandchildren, Mrs. Frank Short of Indianapolis; Mrs. Agnes Rolss, living in Texas and Clarence Anderson residing in California. Funeral services will be held in Pekin early Saturday morning after which the body will be brought to Waynetown where short services and interment will be conducted at 11:30 o'clock. - kbz
