Mr. Turner Arvin, 81, a retired farmer of Macomb, Illinois, formerly of the Willowtown Community in Taylor County, son of the late Thomas and Sarah Elizabeth Allen Arvin, was born in Taylor County November 7, 1889. He died at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 1971, at the Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, Illinois. He professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Macomb, Illinois. He united in marriage to Miss Claudie Short, November 13, 1907. Three children preceded him in death: Preston died at the age of nine; Burnetta died at the age of 1-1/2 years old; and Dale died in infancy. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Patty Allison of Macomb, Illinois; four grandchildren; one sister and one brother: Mrs. Hubert Morris of Campbellsville and Mr. Robert Arvin of Crawfordsville, Indiana. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 22nd, in the Good Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Ralph Benningfield and Rev. Marshall Black with burial in the church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Lynwood Newton, Allen Young, Glenn Benningfield, Willard Caulk, Ernest Allen, Wendell Graham.
