Rosalie B. Arthur, Darlington, passed away Sunday evening at Williamsburg Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. She was 79. Born February 25, 1928 in Indianapolis, Rosalie is the daughter of Ralph and Kate Gorrell. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1947. She later married James Arthur on June 17, 1972 in Crawfordsville. He survives. Mrs. Arthur worked for Seiferts and Hollingsworth Law Office in Lebanon. She enjoyed flower gardening and was especially fond of cats. Other surviving family members include her daughters, Dawn (William) Leslie of Darlington and Karla (Michael) Joyce of Mace and her sister, Deloris McQueen of Long Beach, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her parents, half sister Gloria (Kenneth) Acton and an adopted brother, Luther Weir. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 4th at 2:30 pm at Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville with Reverend Paul Leonard officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Lebanon. - kbz
