Mollie Virginia ARMSTRONG, 80, a former correspondent for the Journal-Review at Mace, died Monday of a cerebral hemorrhage in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lula CALHAN, SE of Linnsburg. She was born March 18, 1871 in Bay City, illinois. Her parents were George W. and Mary Loval Bunn. On Nov 11, 1896, she married Franklin B. Armstrong. She was a member of the Mace Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Valparaiso University and ran the telephone switchboard in Mace for 17 years. She had spent most of her life in the Mace community. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lula Calhan and Mrs. Ruth Scott of Crawfordsville; a son, William Armstrong of Mace; a sister, Lula B. KLUGE of Galconda, Ill; five grandchildren and 8 greats. She was preceded in death by a son, James Armstrong and daughter, Evelyn Armstrong. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Rev Dean Stuckey will officiate. Burial will be in Mace K of P Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Monday. Funeral services for Mrs. Mollie Virginia Armstrong were held Wednesday afternoon in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Stuckey officiating. Burial was in Mace Knights of Pythias Cemetery. Serving as pall bearesr assisting with the flowers were LD Beck, Francis Clahan, Charles Norman, Stanley Harris, JT Myers and Charles Servies. Selections were played on the organ by Mrs. OC Edwards.
