Mrs. Nellie B. APPLE age 42 died Wednesday afternoon at 3:05 o'clock at her home here after an illness of six months. She was born at Fairmount, Ill April 26, 1910, the daughter of Thomas and Rosa Belle LAMB. She married George W. Apple at Indianapolis July 3, 1929. Surviving with the husband are two daughters, Clarabelle and Elinor Ruth both at home; two sons, Thomas Apple of Lafayette and William Apple, Jr. at home; a brother, Roy Lamb of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Gibson of Anderson and Mrs. Artie Mattick of Terre Haute and a grandson, Christian Kent Apple of Lafayette. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Methodist Church of which she was a member. The Rev. JS Hite, pastor will officiate. Burial at Indian Creek Cemetery. - kbz

Waveland - Mrs. Nellie Bernice Apple, 42, died Wednesday afternoon at 3:05 o'clock at her home near here. She had been in poor health the past six months, seriouly ill 3 weeks. Death was the result of carcinoma. Born April 26, 1910 in Fairmount, Ill, she was the daughter of Thomas and Rosa Belle Lamb. On July 3, 1929, she was married to George William Apple Sr at Indianapolis. She was a member of the Waveland Methodist Church. Surviving besides the husband, are two daughters, Chloe Belle and Elinor Ruth Apple, both at home; two sons, Thomas Apple of Lafayette and William Apple, Jr. at home; a brother, Roy R. Lamb of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Gibson of Anderson and Mrs. Artie Mattick of Terre Haute and a grandson, Christian Kent Apple of Lafayette. Funeral services will be Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clcock from Waveland Methodist Church, Rev. JS White will officiate and burial in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Machledt Funeral Home after 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon until noon Friday. - kbz
