FORTVILLE -- Edward W. Andrews, 83, died at his home Monday at 10 p.m. EST. He had been ill for some time. Born Feb. 9, 1877, at Romney, he was the son of Solomon and Hanna Andrews. He married Fanny Webb in 1898 and she preceded him in death Jan. 7, 1939. Andrews remarried July 29, 1939, to Anna Fort. She preceded him in death Aug. 18, 1956. The deceased was a farmer in the New Richmond and Romney communities. He was a member of the Fortville Methodist Church. Survivors include four sons, William Glenn and Harold Dean of Crawfordsville; Guy Milford of Lafayette, and Edward Leonard of New Richmond; nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Cory Funeral Home at Fortville. Rev. Everitt Larchey of the Fortville Methodist Church will officiate. Friends may call at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the New Richmond Cemetery.
