Ammerman - Birdie Brown

Waynetown - Mrs. Birdie Brown Ammerman, 81, died Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. at the home of Bernice Voris in Crawfordsville. She had been in failing health three years and death resulted from arterior-sclerosis. Born Sept 1, 1872, north of Alamo, she was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Clark Brown. She was married to Elbert A. Ammerman on Christmas Day in 1889. He survives. Mrs. Ammerman was a member of the Alamo Christian Church. Surviving besides the husband are four sons: Horace Ammeriman of Yorktown, Tex; Howard Ammerman of Houston, Tex; Russell Ammerman of Del Rio, Tex; and Homer Ammerman of McFadden, Tex; a daughter, Mrs. JL Buchanan of Reno, Nev; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Remley of Crawfordsville; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Lawrence and Harry. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Grenard and Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown, Rev. John Servies will officiate and burial will be in Waynetown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 pm. Thursday - kbz
