Ames - Jimmy

Uncle Jimmy Ames, as he was known, departed this life, November 2, 1895. He was born July 25, 1825, and was 70 years of age. He was married to Mahalah Ball in august, 1852. There was born to them five children, two girls and three boys. Four of the children are living, Mary, Edgar Ames, and John and Albert. His funeral was largely attended, Rev. John Miller, of Waynetown, officiating, after which his remains were taken to Oak Hill Cemetery, for interment. The family in their sad affliction has the sympathy of all. He was not a member of any church but held to the Old Baptist faith. -s
