Kingman - Sadie Alward, 86, Kingman, died Saturday morning Dec 5, 1987 at Williamsburg Health Care, Crawfordsville. She was born Jan 12, 1901 at Perth, Indiana the daughter of Firmin and Hattie Ellingwood Duchene. She was married December 16, 1919 to Arista Alward, who preceded her in death December 16, 1957. She was a member of the Wallace Phanuel Lutheran Church and Chariot Rebekah Lodge 517. Surviving are one daughter, Marie NIckell, Fort Wayne; three sons; Gordon at home; Lowell, Carwfordsville and Connie, Monrovia; three sisters, Firma Philips and Helen Alward, Kingman and Margariet Ambert, Detroit, MI; 7 grandchildren and two greats. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Phanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Karl Korbel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Woodrow Funeral Home, Kingman is in charge of arrangements. - kbz
