Alward - Ella Wendall

Mrs. Ella Wendall ALWARD wife of Bloomer Alward, age 66, died at her country home W. of Wallace on Monday at 12:10 a.m. of complications. She was seriously ill for a week and in declining health for 3 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church, Rockville. Mrs. Alward was born April 11, 1868 a daughter of Eli & Martha Barker Wendall. She spent most of her entire life in the Wallace vicinity. She was married in 1885 to Albert Myers and separating in 1919 she was married to Bloomer Alward. Surviving besides the husband are 3 sons, Willard Myers of Indianapolis; Grover of Rockville and Millard of Brownsville, Tenn; 3 daughters, Mrs. Ruby Lee of Webster City IA; Mrs. Chloe Brown of Crawfordsville, IN; Mrs. Rosa Swindler of Attica; 3 bros, George and Harry Wendall of Wash, DC; Charles of Greencastle; 3 sisters, Mrs. Lou Baker of Indianapolis IN; Mrs. Stella Graves of Bloomingdale and Mrs. Mattie Cox of Rockville. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Freedom church west of Wallace with Spencer officiating. Burial in Poplar Grove Cemetery near Marshall. - kbz
