Thomas R. Alston, 68, 311 S. Barr, died Saturday afternoon in Culver Hospital. Mr. Alston who retired four years ago had been an employee of RR Donnelley & Sons and a partner in Bower Show Print.  He was a membe rof First Baptist Church, AMerican Legion WWI Barracks and Masonic Lodge at Fowler and the Barber Shop Chorus. Mr. Alston was born in Darlington Jan 27, 1899 to William and Cynthia Alston. He was married to Hazel Grenard June 4, 1924. Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Snyder of Ft. Sill, Ok; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille David of West Lafayette, Mrs. Letha Taylor of Muncie and Mrs. Cretta Jarvis of Plainfield; a brother, Loren Alstno of Muncie and two grandchildren. Funeral services were cnducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock at Hunt & Son Funeral Home here with Rev. Milo Riggs officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
