Thomas J. Alnutt, a well known citizen of this county, died on Sunday of paralysis at his home, one mile north of Parkersburg. The funeral occurred Tuesday at Ladoga.

Thomas J. Allnutt was born in Owen County, Kentucky, June 15, 1838. In 1869 he came to Indiana, where he was married to Georgia A. Long, January 27, 1870. To them were born three children, Mrs. Sallie B. Welch, Mrs. Gertrude M. Nicholas and Orestus Clay, a son who died in infancy.  

Mr. Allnutt united with the Missionary Baptist Church early in life. After coming to Indiana he united with the Methodist Church at Parkersburg.

Three sisters and one brother survive him. One of the sisters was present at the funeral.
A short time ago Mr. Allnut suffered a stroke of paralysis, caused by a blood clot on the brain, from which he never recovered. He died Monday morning, Dec. 2, 1901.

The funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. C. U. Stockbarger, of the Ladoga M. E. Church. Interment was in the Ladoga Cemetery. - thanks to S for these
