Waynetown - A one-car accident two miles south of here on Indian 25 Saturday night claimed the life of a 24-year-old Waynetown man. Indiana State Police officers said Jeffrey E. Allison was pronounced dead at Culver Hospital of massive head injuries. He was fatally injured when the car he was driving struck a bridge embankment on the road and flipped into a creek bed. Waynetown fire officials requested Crawfordsville Fire Department extrication unit to assist with getting Mr. Allison out of his car. He was taken to Culver Hospital where he was pronounced deat on arrival a short time later. Officers said the car was traveling at a high rate of speed when the accident occured. He was employed by Hi-Tek Lighting for th epast four years and was graduated from North Montgomery HS in 1976. He attended the Waynetown Christian Church and participated in softball program. Born Aug 30, 1957 in Paxton, Ill he was a son of William "Bill" and Betty McGrew Allison. They resided at Rankin, Ill before moving to Waynetown in 1968. He is survived by his parents, a brother and sister in law, Greg and Karen Allen of Ladoga; one niece, grandparents, Roy and Blanche Allison of Rossville, Ill and Elizabeth McGrew of Danville, Ill and three uncles and one aunt. he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather. Services will be at 2 p.m.. Wednesday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
