Hillsboro—Mrs. Rena McClure Allen, 97, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 1975, at the Covington Manor Health Care Center.
  Born Dec. 15, 1877, in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of Wallace and Angeline Steele McClure. She was married on Dec. 24, 1899, at Waynetown, to Harry Allen, who died Jan. 2, 1967.

  She attended the Alamo and Yountsville Schools.

  A resident of Hillsboro 55 years, she was employed in the Hillsboro Post Office for 17 years and was a member of the Cain Township Home Economics Club for 49 years. She was also a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church and its Christian Women’s Fellowship.

  Survivors include two daughters, Miss Helen Allen of Hillsboro and Mrs. Lloyd (Eulalia) Holmes of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
